A Mother. A Caregiver. An Advocate.
I'm T. M. Thomas, the founder of PALS, and my journey as an advocate began from a place of necessity. As a mother of two severely disabled children, I had to learn how to navigate the special education system, fight for the medical care they needed, and advocate for our family's housing security. From drafting effective IEP letters to disputing wrongful evictions and appealing denied medical care, I've experienced firsthand the frustrations, fears, and complexities of advocating within complex systems. I realized that many families face similar challenges but don't have the knowledge or resources needed to fight for their rights. That's why I founded PALS - to share my experiences and expertise with others facing similar battles. Through strategic advocacy letters, legal guidance, and personalized support, I aim to empower individuals and families to advocate confidently and effectively for themselves and their loved ones.
My promise to You:
- I will listen to your concerns with empathy and understanding.
- I will advocate fiercely for your rights, ensuring schools, landlords, and healthcare providers comply with legal obligations.
- I will empower you with the knowledge and tools needed to advocate effectively, regardless of the system you're navigating.

Exceptional Advocacy and Support - Highly Recommend PALS!
I cannot recommend Parent Advocacy Letter Services (PALS) highly enough! They were an absolute game-changer for my family in navigating challenges with my child's school. Instead of responding with emotions, PALS ensured that our communications were grounded in laws and rights, giving us the confidence to advocate effectively. Their turnaround time was incredible fast, and they provided detailed updates on IEP violations, ensuring that we stayed informed every step of the way. We also relied on their expertise for Due Process proceedings, and their support was invaluable. If you need a knowledgeable, responsive, and dedicate advocacy service to ensure your child's educational rights are protected, PALS is the way to go! Their professionalism and commitment to families make them a true asset in the fight for educational equity. Thank you, PALS, for everything you do!

Incredible Experience with PALS!
My family has had an incredible experience working with Mrs. Thomas. Having a disabled child in special education and fighting with the school district can be such a confusing, overwhelming, and isolating experience. We were experiencing numerous issues both with our child's IEP and supports as well as general issues with the district that have been going neglecting. Mrs. Thomas was able to get right to the heart of the issues we were having and knew exactly which laws were being violated. Her letters and complaints are very well informed and concise, and she does a great job of explaining the law to staff and parents that may be unfamiliar. She always responds to us very quickly and is prompt in her communications with the district. Mrs. Thomas is a fierce advocate for disabled children, and any parent is lucky to have her in their corner!
